The first theatrical production of Vernon Lee's The Ballet of the Nations, will be performed at the Villa il Palmerino, to coincide with the Vernon Lee 2019: An Anniversary Conference. The Ballet has been directed and adapted by Angeliki Papoulia (The Lobster, Dogtooth, The Miracle of the Sargasso Sea), and produced and choreographed by Federica Parretti. Italian actor Alessio Montagnani (All the Money in the World, The Young Pope) will play Satan, and Elisa Barucchieri (ResExtensa Dance Company) will play Ballet-Master Death.
